These remarks will provide an update on the U.S. Treasury Department’s work on online marketplace lenders and discuss a new report released today by the Department on the opportunities and challenges in online marketplace lending. The Department released this report in response to a request for information (RFI) on the online marketplace lending industry. Small Business Majority submitted comments to the Department in response to this RFI on the importance of ensuring responsible lending for small business.
